The Government are carrying out a consultation as to whether to get rid of Section 21 Notices. This is partly based on assertions that such Notices are the leading cause of homelessness in the UK.
The National Landlords Association (NLA) have refuted this claim, stating that between October 2018 and December 2018 just 11.8% of those faced with homelessness were in such a situation as a result of being served a Section 21 Notice.
It is an over-simplification of what can be a complex matter between a landlord and tenant to blame Section 21 Notices for homelessness in the UK.
