A survey has reported that a third of buy-to-let landlords are looking to leave the rental market or, at least, reduce the number of properties they rent out.
They are reacting to increased regulations and taxes being placed upon them. With the possibility of the Section 21 Notice being abolished, this could be another factor that encourages landlords to leave the rental market.
It has not been made clear how landlords will be able to recover possession of their property, other than as a result of a breach of tenancy by their tenant, which is causing landlords more uncertainty.
