About Me

Matt is a solicitor with over a decade of experience across the full spectrum of planning related work. He is able to advise on complex technical matters but is equally comfortable dealing with the relevant practical issues. Matt has experience of appearing at Planning Inquiries and Planning Committees. He advises multi-national companies, business start-ups, regeneration agencies, property developers and national house builders. Until 2006, Matt practiced as a barrister at the Department of Communities and Local Government, and at the Department for Transport. Matt then joined Eversheds’ Planning and Parliamentary Group and co-qualified as a solicitor. Matt was also a Professional Support Lawyer at Herbert Smith. Matt’s experience in planning and public law is extensive. He was the Principal Environmental and Planning Lawyer at the London Borough of Hillingdon dealing with the planning aspects of Heathrow Airport, Section 106 Planning Obligations, Planning Enforcement and many environmental and governance issues. Matt is a current member of the Enterprise M3 LEP Land & Property Group.
