About Me

Denise is a commercial property solicitor with over 25 years experience of all aspects of commercial property. From qualification she spent her early years as an in house lawyer for a major international Oil Company where she helped manage a portfolio of over 500 petrol stations as well as advising in connection with other general commercial matters. She returned to private practice where she worked on a commercial development at a government run nuclear facility and advised in connection with the development of several sites in England for an Israeli hotel chain. She has also advised on landlord and tenant matters for a large retail Group. Denise took a sabbatical from the law when she competed in the Times Clipper 2000 Around the world Yacht race following which she qualified as a sailing instructor. She returned to the law in 2004 joining Southampton Firm Blake Lapthorn (now Blake Morgan) and has been based in and around Southampton ever since then. She is a committee member of the Southampton Property Association. Denise specialises in portfolio management for both landlords and tenants. She deals with secured lending representing banks to provide independent lending advice and reports on title and also representing clients with borrowing and refinancing requirements. She deals with commercial sales and purchases of both freehold and leasehold property. She also deals with sales and purchases of small businesses including pubs and post offices. Most recently she has dealt with the sale of an art gallery in the New Forest and its owner's relocation to Dartmouth.
